In-Town Gallery – Celebrating 50 years
The In-Town Gallery is currently celebrating 50 years of proudly showcasing artistry and fine craftsmanship. Founded in 1974 by a group of artists, the company has with time evolved, relocating to Northshore district and adding a manager position while still maintaining its co-op structure. The gallery, focusing on local artists with varied styles, looks forward to more in-house art experiences, live demonstrations, and community-based interactive projects.
T.J. Snow Company – Celebrating 60 years
Founded by T.J. Snow Sr., T.J. Snow Company took off from a dining room office to become a national leader in the resistance welding business. With its largest market being the automotive industry, the company also caters to rising industries such as aerospace companies like SpaceX. Under the leadership of Tom and Sam Snow, T.J. Snow Company looks forward to continued growth through industry-leading services and additional acquisitions.
Orange Grove Center – Celebrating 70 years
Founded by a group of local parents, Orange Grove Center started with two classrooms for 30 students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Today, the center serves over 1,000 students, providing enrichment services, therapies, and transportation while partnering with local businesses to provide employment. It plans to continue to provide critical services to people with IDD, developing person-centered programs and services to the community.
T.U. Parks Construction Company – Celebrating 80 years
Founded by T.U. Parks in 1944, T.U. Parks Construction Company has left its mark on the city and its skyline. The business has survived challenges, technological advancements, and has built iconic projects such as the Krystal Building, Tallan Financial Center, The Chattanoogan, and the Chattanooga Convention Center. The company plans to continue its trajectory of steady growth in the region.
Chattanooga Tent Company – Celebrating 90 years
Chattanooga Tent Company started as Chattanooga Awning and Window Shade Company by J.P. Nolan in 1934. Today, it provides rentals across 38 states and is an industry leader in cutting-edge tent engineering. It recently moved from its previous location to a larger headquarters, more than doubling its space, and remains committed to offering the latest to its customers.
Northside Neighborhood House- Celebrating 100 years
Northside Neighborhood House (NNH), founded in 1924 by a group of local women, began by teaching sewing and quilting classes. Today, the organization has grown into five sites, providing education and assistance to neighbors across the region. NNH aims to continue to provide its services to the community, responding to changing needs while building relationships to help students, neighborhoods, and families thrive.
