Chattanooga Welcomes Young Runners for Third ISC Conference Meet

This past Monday, Chattanooga buzzed with excitement as the **young athletes** from Oakwood Christian Academy’s Elementary and Middle School took part in the **third ISC conference cross country meet** of the season. Hosted at the lovely **Woodland Park Baptist Church**, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a lot of **supportive cheers** from parents and friends.

A Thrilling Day on the Track

The morning was bright and sunny, perfect for an outdoor race. As the runners lined up at the starting line, you could see the determination on each young athlete’s face—this was their chance to shine! The highlight of the day was, of course, the fiercely contested **boys’ third-grade one-mile event**. Out of a **packed field of 63 runners**, these kids were ready to give it their all.

Impressive Performances

Among these talented runners was **Rowan Whitescarver**, who turned in a fantastic performance. He sprinted his way to **sixth place** with a speedy time of **6:50**. What a great accomplishment! Not far behind him, **Levi Neal** finished 16th with a commendable time of **7:27**, showing that he has a bright future ahead in the world of cross country. **Landon Parker** also made his mark, securing 20th place with a time of **7:39**. All three ran with heart and enthusiasm, making their school proud.

Camaraderie and Encouragement

The event wasn’t just about competition; it was also a chance for the runners to **bond** and encourage one another. Runners cheered each other on as they dashed around the track, creating a **sense of community** that is truly special.
