Chattanooga Steps Up: The Salvation Army’s Response to East Tennessee Needs

While they are making significant strides, Major Douglas McClore, the Area Commander for the Salvation Army in Greater Chattanooga, points out that communication remains a challenge due to a lack of reliable cell service and Wi-Fi in some areas. This has made coordination somewhat difficult, but our teams continue to adapt and strive to provide the support that these communities need.

Currently in the emergency response stage, the Salvation Army is focused on immediate relief. However, as they begin to envision the next steps, conversations are already underway regarding long-term relief and assistance related to housing for victims.
