Chattanooga Community Mourns the Loss of Cherished Resident Ceciliea Christina Tucker Davis

Chattanooga Bids Farewell to Beloved Community Member

Chattanooga, Tennessee, is holding its collective breath as it prepares to say goodbye to a cherished resident, Ceciliea Christina Tucker Davis, who passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 70. Known for her warm heart and dedication to her family and community, Ceciliea leaves behind a legacy that many will remember for years to come.

A Life Full of Service

A native of Chattanooga, Ceciliea’s journey started here, where she excelled academically. She graduated from Kirkman Technical High School and later pursued her passion for nursing at the Chattanooga School of Practical Nursing. After earning her LPN, she dedicated the next 34 years of her life to Cigna Insurance, where she made significant contributions as a medical underwriting nurse. Her commitment to her job and the countless lives she touched through her work will certainly leave a lasting impact on those who knew her.

A Loving Family Woman

Ceciliea was not only a dedicated professional but also a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Curt “C.J.” (Mika) Davis, and her three beloved grandchildren, Tucker Wyatt Davis, Sawyer Boone Davis, and Molly Reece Davis, who meant the world to her. In addition to her immediate family, she is remembered by her sister-in-law, Wanda Tucker, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Toby Tucker, Joseph “Joey” Tucker, Vanessa Thomason, and Brian Tucker. Ceciliea’s family spoke fondly of her nurturing spirit and the immense love she gave unconditionally.

A Community in Mourning

Funeral services for Ceciliea will take place on Friday, October 18, at 12 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Those wanting to pay their respects can join the family at the Heritage Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, and from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. before the service on Friday. After the ceremony, she will be entombed at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East. This will be an opportunity for friends and community members to come together, celebrate her life, and share their cherished memories.

Honoring Lives Lost

Ceciliea’s passing comes during a period of reflection for the Chattanooga community, as it has also been touched by the loss of other beloved members. Among them, Samuel “Sam” Neumann Jessen, just 12 years old, who recently passed away. He was a bright seventh grader at the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, loved by his classmates and teachers alike. Also weighing heavily on the hearts of the community is the unexpected passing of Jessica Caitlin Bledsoe, who was known for her generosity and spirit. Jessica made the heartfelt decision to be an organ donor, embodying a sense of giving that will forever resonate with those she leaves behind.
