Celebrating Excellence in Education: Debbie Rosenbloom Receives Golden Apple Award

Celebrating Excellence in Education: Debbie Rosenbloom Honored with Golden Apple Award

FLINSTONE, GA – In a delightful event that truly captured the heart of what education should be, Debbie Rosenbloom was awarded the prestigious Golden Apple Award for her exceptional dedication and unwavering positivity as a teacher at Chattanooga Valley school. This award, which recognizes educators who go above and beyond, could not have been given to a more deserving individual.

A Teacher Who Inspires

Debbie’s reputation as a remarkable teacher precedes her. Not only does she strive to make her classroom a welcoming space for all students, but she also aims to cater to the diverse learning styles of each pupil. Heather Culberson, the school principal, couldn’t help but sing Ms. Rosenbloom’s praises, stating, “Miss Rosenbloom is constantly positive. She’s kind; everyone loves her. She is a friend to all.” These sentiments reflect the impact that Debbie has on her students and fellow staff members alike.

When asked to share a bit about herself, Debbie light-heartedly introduced herself as a “wife of 22 years, a mom of two daughters aged 19 and 15, a cat mom, and, of course, a teacher.” She openly discussed her passion for teaching, particularly with students who often face academic challenges. “It’s so rewarding,” she explained, “Um, you know I work with students who do struggle. So, when they have their little breakthroughs, it’s amazing.” Her genuine love for guiding children through their educational journey is palpable.

A Strong Advocate for Students

Behind every great educator is a strong support system. Hannah Peterman, responsible for Family Engagement at Chattanooga Valley, emphasized Debbie’s commitment to her students, saying, “She is the epitome of the best teacher for sped education. She puts these kids first and continues to grow her education to help make these students have a better education themselves.” It’s evident that Debbie doesn’t rest on her laurels; she actively seeks ways to enhance her skill set to benefit her students further.

Colleagues like Mary Cooke, a paraprofessional, admire how Debbie is always looking to take her teaching to the next level. “It’s always one step further with her,” Cooke remarked. “She’s always thinking. She’s in taking classes right now to further her education so that she can further help these kids.” This continuous quest for improvement illustrates Debbie’s commitment to lifelong learning.

Going Above and Beyond

Another paraprofessional, Patty Austin, shared her thoughts on the lengths Debbie goes for her students. “She goes over and beyond a million to get what they need,” Austin noted, highlighting Debbie’s efforts to provide different programs and materials to facilitate learning. It’s clear that Debbie’s heart lies with her students, making every effort to ensure they have the resources necessary to succeed.

A Personal Mission

As Debbie reflects on her journey, she acknowledges her career in education started later than most. “This is like a second career,” Debbie mentioned. “I should have done this a lot sooner.” Yet, despite the late start, her passion shines through. She hopes her students remember her for the love and belief she has in them. “This is what I want,” she said firmly. “I want them to know that they can achieve their best.”

Conclusion

In a world that can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, it’s educators like Debbie Rosenbloom who remind us of the profound impact that patience, kindness, and dedication can have on young lives. She stands as a beacon of hope and perseverance, encouraging her students to overcome their struggles and embrace their potential. The Golden Apple Award is a delightful recognition of her hard work and unwavering spirit. Here’s to many more years of inspiring education at Chattanooga Valley!
