Chattanooga to Host Inaugural Albie Your Friend Fundraiser for Animal Shelter this Sunday

Get Ready for a Paws-itively Wonderful Celebration in Chattanooga!

Chattanooga dog lovers, mark your calendars! This Sunday, November 10, from 2 to 6 p.m., Play Wash Pint will be buzzing with excitement as it hosts the inaugural Albie Your Friend fundraiser. This special event is dedicated to supporting our furry friends at the McKamey Animal Center, and it coincides perfectly with Albie Nelson’s 10th birthday!

Who’s Albie?

Now, you might be wondering, who exactly is this Albie guy? Well, let me tell you! Albie is a beloved 9-year-old White Cream Golden Retriever and a long-time member of the Play Wash Pint family. Sadly, he is bravely battling an aggressive form of cancer. Although he is currently in remission, this type of cancer famously has a knack for coming back, even after treatment. But the silver lining is that we now have the perfect reason to celebrate!

A Birthday Bash with a Purpose

This birthday bash isn’t just about cake and fun. It’s all about making a real difference in the lives of shelter animals. The event will feature a variety of tasty food options from California Smothered Burrito, live music from DJ Chris, and some delightful beer specials. Sounds like a party, right? And if you’re feeling lucky, don’t forget to grab some raffle tickets! There will be plenty of awesome raffle items up for grabs, plus special t-shirts and bandanas you can take home.

According to Olivia Purcell, the general manager of Play Wash Pint, this event holds a special place in the hearts of many. “Every person and dog who has entered Play Wash Pint over the last 7 years has experienced the joy, love, and smiles Albie brings to everyone he meets. We are honored to host such a meaningful celebration of his life,” she shared.

It’s heartwarming to see Albie’s family and the Play Wash Pint team coming together to give back to the community. The funds raised from the sale of beer, raffle tickets, t-shirts, and bandanas will all be donated to the McKamey Animal Center, helping countless shelter pets find their forever homes.
