ArtsBuild Releases Expanded Arts Venue Guide to Bolster Local Artists in Chattanooga

An Indispensable Resource for Chattanooga Artists

On July 11, 2024, ArtsBuild, a leading local arts advocate, unveiled its significantly expanded Arts Venue Guide. This guide is intended to support and promote the dynamic and diverse artists in Chattanooga-Hamilton County.

The updated guide has almost doubled in size from its initial 14-page format launched in 2022, growing to a robust 29 pages. This impressive growth highlights ArtsBuild’s dedication to the rich volume of local artistry and the considerable $191 million economic impact the nonprofit arts sector brings to the local economy annually.

Creation and Evolution of the Guide

The original concept for the Arts Venue Guide emerged from artists across various disciplines who aired the need for more accessible spaces and resources in Chattanooga to nurture their creative works. The new guide encircles an array of available facilities, including visual arts studios and spaces for music, dance, and theater rehearsals and performances, compiled into one user-friendly document.

Enriching Local Communities through Art

ArtsBuild recognizes the vital role that artists play in both the cultural and economic enrichment of Chattanooga and Hamilton County. Program Coordinator at ArtsBuild, Jules Jackson, articulated, “By expanding the Arts Venue Guide, we aim to provide artists and the broader community with the tools they need to thrive and continue enriching our communities with their creativity.”

Visible and Rewards for Artists and the Broader Community

With an aim to guide artists towards greater success and public visibility, the enlarged Arts Venue Guide is accessible for download via the ArtsBuild website. Importantly, this initiative is also aimed at connecting more art lovers and patrons to the local arts scene. The enhanced guide not only supports artists but also offers residents and visitors to Chattanooga an expansive insight into the local arts community, championing the arts as a vibrant part of the region’s identity.

Looking towards the Future

The unveiling of the revised and expanded Arts Venue Guide represents a significant milestone for the Chattanooga arts community, reaffirming ArtsBuild’s commitment to the growth and sustainability of the arts in the region. As the arts continue to shape and enrich the local community and contribute significantly to the economy, initiatives like these prove essential in highlighting the value and benefit of the local arts scene.

ArtsBuild remains committed to supporting artists of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County area and aims to continue its dedicated efforts in providing resources that promote the flourishing of local artists and enrichment of the community. The community eagerly anticipates future enhancements and offerings from ArtsBuild and their noteworthy endeavors in Chattanooga’s thriving arts scene.
