Led by the fantastic folks at ArtsBuild, this week-long celebration will feature an array of exciting activities that cater to everyone! From live music and gallery exhibitions to engaging workshops and lively community events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. This incredible arts festival not only honors our local artists but also emphasizes the substantial impact that the arts have on the Chattanooga and Hamilton County areas.

Did you know that the arts sector here has a whopping annual economic impact of nearly $200 million? It also creates over 3,000 jobs! Clearly, creativity is not just good for the soul, but it also contributes significantly to our community’s economic growth.

Kicking Off with Excitement

The festivities kick off in style with a special partnership between ArtsBuild and the Chattanooga Football Club (CFC). On April 19, during their match against Crown Legacy FC at Finley Stadium, local artists and performers will take center stage. Expect to see talented individuals showcasing their work, performing the National Anthem, creating stunning speed paintings, and providing halftime entertainment. Each participating artist will even have the chance to display and sell their artwork, making it a not-to-miss evening of creativity and sport!

A Week Full of Interactive Fun

Throughout the week, visitors can take part in numerous interactive experiences that promote creativity and community cohesion. One fantastic event is the artist meet-up scheduled for April 24 at BeCaffeinated Northshore from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. This is a perfect opportunity for local artists to network and mingle, sharing ideas and inspirations!

Additional workshops during Arts Week will cover various topics, including a unique session on recycling through art and an exciting workshop focused on building empathy through artistic expression. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 23, when The Chattery will be hosting “Art in Uncertain Times” – a thought-provoking workshop to explore how art can be a source of comfort during challenging moments.

Artistic Unveilings and Celebrations

A highlight of Arts Week will take place on April 25, with the unveiling of renowned artist John Henry’s sculpture titled “Best for Last” at the beautiful Sculpture Fields at Montague Park. This is bound to be an exciting moment for art enthusiasts and the community alike.
