Chattanooga Attorney Reinstated To Practice Law

Chattanooga, TN — The Tennessee Supreme Court has reinstated Chattanooga attorney Art Grisham, Jr. to the active practice of law. This comes after a temporary suspension issued on April 29, following Mr. Grisham’s failure to respond to the Board of Professional Responsibility concerning a complaint of misconduct.

Temporary Suspension and Resolution

Mr. Grisham had been temporarily suspended by the Supreme Court of Tennessee for failing to respond to the Board of Professional Responsibility regarding a complaint. Following the suspension, he provided a response to the Board and filed pleadings to dissolve the temporary suspension.

Hearing and Decision

The matter was referred by the Supreme Court to a Board Panel for a hearing on the merits. The hearing took place on July 19, and by August 12, the panel had entered its report. The Board Panel recommended dissolving the temporary suspension. The Supreme Court accepted this recommendation and reinstated Mr. Grisham’s license to practice law in Tennessee.

With this decision, Art Grisham, Jr. can now resume his legal practice, marking the end of a challenging period. The quick resolution adds another chapter to his professional journey, ensuring his clients and the Chattanooga legal community have his services back.
