Beard Contest Returns to Chattanooga Market This Sunday!

Beard Contest Returns to Chattanooga Market This Sunday!

This Sunday, November 3rd, marks an exciting highlight for hair enthusiasts and market-goers alike in Chattanooga! The Chattanooga Beard Contest is back, and it’s ready to take center stage at the local market. This beloved event, originally crafted to boost awareness for No-Shave November, has become a cherished tradition for many in the community. Whether you’re sporting a majestic wizard beard or a stylishly groomed mustache, this contest is a fun-filled opportunity for men to show off their facial hair prowess!

Creative Competitors and Festive Fun

Each year, the competition seems to get more and more creative! Contestants come sporting their best beards, and some really know how to step it up a notch. There’s a category for every style—from the classic hipster beard to the grandpa-style fluff. And don’t forget about the “festively decorated” beards—these are usually the most eye-catching! Expect to see plenty of festive flair, like fall leaves, twinkling lights, or even a devil’s fork decoratively placed within the whiskers. This creativity isn’t just for fun, though; it helps determine who takes home the glory and a fabulous prize package! Throughout the contest, crowd applause will play a role in selecting the winners, making it an interactive experience for everyone involved.

A Prize Package Worth Showing Off

Winners from each category can look forward to some amazing goodies that will certainly help them maintain their facial mane. Prizes include premium products from Moccasin Bend Soap and Beard, Chapel Barber Shop, Chattanooga Beard Company, and of course, some fun Chattanooga Market swag. So, if you think your beard has what it takes to impress, be sure to join in the good-natured competition!

Schedule and Entertainment

Mark your calendars: the contest kicks off at 1:30 PM on the Lodge Cast Iron Sizzle Stage. But that’s not all—you can make a day of it! Regular market hours run from 11 AM to 4 PM at the First Horizon Pavilion, and you can enjoy live music in the air while you browse through local vendors and food stalls. This Sunday, the delightful Choo Choo Chorus will be providing some cheerful tunes from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. It’s a great opportunity to relax, enjoy the vibe, and cheer on the beard contestants!

Don’t Miss Out on Market Season

As the outdoor season starts to wind down, this is a wonderful chance to soak up the last few Sundays at the market. The final outdoor market of the season will take place on November 24th, after which the market will close for the Thanksgiving weekend on November 28th. But don’t worry; the annual Chattanooga Holiday Market is right around the corner! It will take place on the first two weekends of December at the Chattanooga Convention Center. And the best part? Admission to this special event is FREE! Make sure to keep an eye out for local artisans and holiday goodies.

So, whether you’re participating in the beard contest or just coming out to enjoy the festivities, this Sunday promises to be a fantastic time at the Chattanooga Market! Grab your friends and family, come out for a day full of laughter, music, and maybe even some friendly competition. See you there!
