Keith Sanford to Retire from Tennessee Aquarium
One of the major changes is the announcement of Keith Sanford‘s upcoming retirement as president and CEO of the Tennessee Aquarium. Sanford, who has been at the helm since February 2016, will step down at the end of December. His impressive 44-year career in downtown Chattanooga has seen significant transformations, including the launch of the Aquarium itself in May 1992.
Reflecting on his time, Sanford states, “I brought my children to the Aquarium on opening day, and for the first time, there was excitement and a community spirit that we hadn’t felt before.” He expresses pride in the achievements made during his tenure, such as the opening of several major exhibits and the establishment of the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute.
New Director of Programs and Events at River City Company
Tess Rollins has been named the new director of programs and events for the River City Company. Rollins arrives in Chattanooga with a rich background in project management and community engagement from her previous role in the Metro Washington DC area. She was involved with local festivals and even hosted a television program highlighting local businesses.
Leadership Changes at Scenic Land Company and United Community Bank
Annea Robinson has been appointed as the director of investor relations for the Scenic Land Company, overseeing projects such as the McLemore Resort. Robinson brings extensive experience from previous executive roles in various financial organizations across the U.S. and Australia.
Leanna Jimenez is stepping into the role of Senior Vice President and commercial relationship manager at United Community Bank. Chattanooga City Council Approves New CIO
