**CHATTANOOGA** – Tastee King Donuts on Highway 58 is picking up the pieces after a car accidentally went through the front of the business. It happened around 9:55 Sunday morning.

Eyewitness Account

Sakal Seng, the Manager of Tastee King Donuts, recounted the terrifying moments after the crash.

**”When that happened, the glass and the door fell on top of the car. And when she backed up, the door just fell on the ground. All the glass just went straight inside,”** said Seng.

Sakal Seng was in the store, along with another employee, during the time of the crash. Shaken but uninjured, he shared his experience.

**”I was just shaking like, you know, crazy. It’s my first time, and, you know, I was so scared, but at the end, you know, I got to man up. Gotta calm down and be strong, take care,”** Seng expressed.

No Injuries Reported

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. Seng described the scene:

**”It was only me and an employee. He was at the back and I was at the front. Luckily no one was in the store, and the lady driver was also unhurt. Everything was good,”** confirmed Seng.

Reopening Plans

Tastee King Donuts has already patched up the hole in the wall and door caused by the crash. However, the managers are unsure about the exact timeline for reopening the shop. They hope it will be within a month.

**”The first thing we want to ensure is safety for every customer. It’s the front door, it’s all glass, holding the building together. We want to make sure everything is set,”** Seng emphasized.

The cafe, which has been a loved spot in Chattanooga for almost six years, will share updates about the reopening on their Facebook page.

Moving Forward

Seng is looking forward to reopening the cafe and is committed to helping out in any way possible.

**”We just got to go through it, be strong and go through it… I’ll be here to help out with anything they need, alongside the owner, to get the business back to opening as soon as possible,”** Seng added.

We reached out to the Chattanooga Police Department for more details and will keep you updated as we learn more.
