Chattanooga’s Christmas Spirit Shines Bright with Angel Tree and Battle of the Bells
As the holiday season unfolds in Chattanooga, the sound of ringing bells is echoing through the streets, reminding everyone of the spirit of giving. The eagerly awaited Angel Tree program and the exciting Battle of the Bells have kicked off, stirring up a wave of goodwill across the Scenic City.
Angel Tree Donations: Help Needed!
Donations for the Angel Tree initiative are heading towards a crucial deadline. With gifts due by December 13, located at 1600 E 23rd Street, Chattanooga, TN, only 40% of the gifts have been processed so far. It’s not too late to lend a helping hand and ensure that families in need have a memorable Christmas. There are still many angels waiting to be adopted! You can find these angels hanging at various locations including Hamilton Place Mall and several Walmarts, or simply visit online for a hassle-free experience.
Join the Battle of the Bells!
If you’re unable to adopt an angel this year, there’s another chance to make a difference. The Battle of the Bells has begun, creating a friendly competition between local news stations to see who can collect the most donations for the Salvation Army. This year, staff members, including familiar faces you see on your screens, will be out in full force ringing those bells on Thursday, December 12. Head over to Hamilton Place Mall anytime between 9 A.M. and 6 P.M. and show your support!
Every penny counts, and there’s no reason to wait. You can choose to make your donations directly through the Salvation Army’s website or the corresponding news organization’s site. Remember, every cent you contribute goes towards critical programs and services not covered by grants, giving the Salvation Army the ability to meet the diverse needs of our community.
Getting Involved with Your Community
