Chattanooga Embraces the Holiday Spirit with Angel Tree Donations and Battle of the Bells

Chattanooga’s Christmas Spirit Shines Bright with Angel Tree and Battle of the Bells

As the holiday season unfolds in Chattanooga, the sound of ringing bells is echoing through the streets, reminding everyone of the spirit of giving. The eagerly awaited Angel Tree program and the exciting Battle of the Bells have kicked off, stirring up a wave of goodwill across the Scenic City.

Angel Tree Donations: Help Needed!

Donations for the Angel Tree initiative are heading towards a crucial deadline. With gifts due by December 13, located at 1600 E 23rd Street, Chattanooga, TN, only 40% of the gifts have been processed so far. It’s not too late to lend a helping hand and ensure that families in need have a memorable Christmas. There are still many angels waiting to be adopted! You can find these angels hanging at various locations including Hamilton Place Mall and several Walmarts, or simply visit online for a hassle-free experience.

Join the Battle of the Bells!

If you’re unable to adopt an angel this year, there’s another chance to make a difference. The Battle of the Bells has begun, creating a friendly competition between local news stations to see who can collect the most donations for the Salvation Army. This year, staff members, including familiar faces you see on your screens, will be out in full force ringing those bells on Thursday, December 12. Head over to Hamilton Place Mall anytime between 9 A.M. and 6 P.M. and show your support!

Every penny counts, and there’s no reason to wait. You can choose to make your donations directly through the Salvation Army’s website or the corresponding news organization’s site. Remember, every cent you contribute goes towards critical programs and services not covered by grants, giving the Salvation Army the ability to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Getting Involved with Your Community

Chattanooga folks are known for their big hearts, and this season is the perfect time to show just how generous we can be! Participating in the Angel Tree gifting or the Battle of the Bells is not just about donations; it’s about coming together as a community to uplift those who are struggling. Whether you donate, adopt an angel, or simply spread the word, your involvement can help create a ripple of kindness throughout the city.

Stay Connected and Spread the Word

Don’t forget, if you have a story to share or want to talk about your experiences during the holiday season, reach out! Sharing encourages others to join in and support our local initiatives. The community thrives on connections, and your voice can inspire others.

You can reach out either through a friendly phone call at 423-785-1200 or connect by email at news@wdef.com. Remember, Chattanooga is not just a place; it’s a community where neighbors help neighbors. Let’s make this holiday season one to remember!

So, whether you’re adopting an angel or contributing to the Battle of the Bells, let’s join hands, ring those bells, and spread some joy and cheer throughout Chattanooga. This season, every bit of love and support can shine a light on those who need it most!
