The heart of Chattanooga is heavy with sorrow as the community comes together to remember four beloved residents, each who touched lives in their own unique ways. From dedicated family members to lifelong friends, the stories shared revel in the rich history and contributions of these extraordinary individuals, who will be dearly missed.

Alice “Faye” Brown

Alice “Faye” Brown, born on November 12, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 76. Faye was more than just a name in the family; she was a beloved daughter whose laughter echoed warm memories through the hearts of those she loved.

Chuck Gilbert

Chuck Gilbert, who joined the world on December 1, 1961, left us on April 19, 2025, at the age of 63. Chuck devoted 43 years of his life to Card, showing a stellar commitment that made a positive impact on many. His work ethic and determination inspired those around him, and his legacy will continue to resonate within the community.

Charles Roland Wells (affectionately known as Chuck or THE LEGEND)

On April 17, 2025, Charles Roland Wells, a renowned figure among friends and family, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Candace. As a retired Police and Fire Chief, he dedicated himself to safeguarding others and his legacy of heroism will always be remembered. He touched countless lives and his impact on the community was nothing short of legendary.

Lynette Bacon Goins

Lynette Bacon Goins, age 83, left this world on April 21, 2025, in her hometown of Chattanooga. As the cherished daughter of the late Reed and Bessie Bacon, she also deeply loved her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lynette was a co-owner of Bacon Products Corporation and her strong work ethic was evident in everything she did. She had a lifelong passion for reading, sharing her love of books with friends and family.

She is survived by two children: April G. Holden (Mike) of McDonald, TN, and Lewis H. Goins, Jr. (Rhonda) of Whitwell, TN. In addition to her children, Lynette leaves behind her grandson Brandon Goins, step-granddaughter Stacy Byers (Traves), and three great-grandsons: Andrew, Trevor, and Matthew Byers. The community is invited to pay their respects during the funeral service scheduled for 11:00 am on April 25, 2025, at Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to visit on April 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Justin Blair

Lastly, we remember Justin Blair, who went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2025. A loving husband and father, Justin was known for his strong character and unwavering faith. He was a hands-on dad, fully engaged in family life, from building Legos to coaching his kids in sports. Married to his beloved Amanda for nearly 18 years, their love story was a true testament to commitment.

A proud graduate of McCallie School, Justin held a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a celebrated athlete, becoming a two-time state champion wrestler and an avid runner. As a co-owner of Blair’s Estate Sales, he was known for his meticulous sales approach and sincere relationships with clients. He is survived by his wife, Amanda, and their three children: Lillie, Hollyn, and Lachlan. A Celebration of Life service is planned for February 22, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Northside.

This profound loss is felt deeply within the heart of Chattanooga. These four remarkable individuals left indelible marks on their families and the community, providing love and inspiration to those fortunate enough to know them. As they are remembered, let us honor their legacies by cherishing our relationships and lifting each other up in these difficult times.
