This means that if citizens want a change, they will have the opportunity to voice their support on the ballot.

In a city council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, officials will discuss adding the referendum to the ballot. If successful, it could allow firefighters from surrounding areas to apply and serve the city, thereby increasing the chances of finding skilled candidates willing to dedicate themselves to public safety.
