Chattanooga’s Holiday Market Features Exciting Lodge Cast Iron Cook-Off Event!

Chattanooga’s Holiday Spirit Shines Bright with Lodge Cast Iron Cook-Off!

Hey there, Chattanooga! Get ready because this Sunday, December 15th, the city is all set to sizzle and shine at the annual Chattanooga Holiday Market! A long-time beloved sponsor, Lodge Cast Iron, will take center stage with an exciting “Hello Dolly” themed Cook Off that you won’t want to miss. This fantastic event will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center, right in the heart of our festive gathering of local and regional artisans.

A Tradition Over Two Decades Old

For nearly 20 years, the Cook Off has been a cherished part of the Chattanooga Market, and it’s a highlight for many locals and visitors alike! Organizers say it not only showcases the talents of talented chefs but also shines a spotlight on Tennessee’s pride and joy, Lodge Cast Iron. It’s an important tradition that combines cooking, community, and creativity.

Mike Otterman, the CEO of Lodge Cast Iron, is just as excited as we are. He mentioned, “Our team at Lodge is so excited to return to the Chattanooga Market this year to host the Cook Off. As a local, family-owned brand, getting involved with our community during the holidays is very meaningful to us and the Market is always a highlight of the year.”

What’s Cooking in the ‘Hello Dolly’ Cook Off?

If you’re a fan of delicious food and friendly competition, grab your friends and family and head down to the Cook Off! The event will feature Lodge’s new Hello Dolly collection, a stunning line of products crafted right here in South Pittsburg, TN. Competing chefs will whip up their most original holiday dish while incorporating Lodge products to demonstrate just how versatile and delightful this hand-crafted cookware can be.

But wait, there’s more! Each chef will be presented with a surprise ingredient they are required to integrate into their culinary masterpiece. This surprise will always be something you can find for sale right at the Holiday Market. That’s right, folks—original cooking in action!

The Countdown Begins!

Each chef will have just one hour to cook and ten minutes to plate their creations before presenting them to our panel of judges. The emcee for the event will be none other than Chris Thomas from Chattanooga Market, who knows a thing or two about cooking competitions himself!

Five esteemed local judges will taste their way to discover the 2024 winning Chef, who will take home an incredible Allen Hampton original, artistic trophy along with an exciting prize from Lodge Cast Iron! Talk about a sweet victory!
