Chattanooga Hosts Inaugural Locals Only Music Festival This Fall

Chattanooga Gets Excited for the First Locals Only Music Festival!

Hey there, Chattanooga! We have some exciting news for music lovers and community supporters alike. This fall, our vibrant city is gearing up for a brand-new event that promises to celebrate local talent while bringing everyone together. Yep, you guessed it—it’s the Locals Only Music Festival!

What’s Happening?

As many of you may know, our beloved major music festivals are taking a break in 2024. But instead of letting that dampen the spirits, Five Wits Brewing Co. and Barrelhouse Ballroom have jumped right in to create something special. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, because that’s when this two-day concert extravaganza will take place!

Showcasing Local Talent

The festival will spotlight a fantastic lineup featuring 16 local bands and musicians! With two stages set up for performances, attendees can expect a whole lot of talent and a whole lot of fun. Co-owner of Barrelhouse Ballroom, Mike Monen, shared, “The vision for the festival came from a desire to raise awareness about the incredible music talent we have right here in Chattanooga, and to create a space where these bands can support one another.”

Festival Highlights

So what can you expect at the Locals Only Music Festival? Gates will open at 1 p.m. each day, giving you plenty of time to soak up the vibes. Throughout the event, you’ll find local vendors showcasing their goods, a variety of delicious food options, and, of course, amazing brews to keep you refreshed as you dance the day away! Don’t forget to check out the on-site market where you can shop from fantastic local vendors.

Headlining Acts

Curious about who will be rocking the stage? You can find the full lineup online, with headliners like The Afternooners and more! But why stop there? There’s a bonus! You can listen to a special playlist featuring top songs from each of the acts to get yourself pumped up before the festival. It’s a perfect way to discover new favorites right from your living room!

A Vision for the Future

Elliot Kehoe from Five Wits Brewing Co. shared that the festival is not just a one-time event. Their hope is that the Locals Only Music Festival becomes an annual celebration of our community’s talent and spirit. “We want people to see Chattanooga the way that we do, as a city full of talented people doing amazing things, and kick start this weekend of fun and celebration around that community,” said Kehoe. Sounds inspiring, right?

Get Your Tickets!

Ready to snag your tickets? The good news is, they’re on sale now! One-day passes start at just $30, and you can grab a two-day pass for only $50. Just a heads up though, if you wait until the day of the festival, ticket prices will rise to $60, so it’s best to get yours early!

Come and Go as You Please

This festival weekend won’t just be about the music; many other events, such as The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival and Chattanooga Oktoberfest, are also happening nearby. This means that the venue will allow reentry, so feel free to pop out for a bit and come back to enjoy even more of the local scene!

Chattanooga, this is your chance to come together, enjoy great music, and support our awesome local talents. We can’t wait to see you there at the very first Locals Only Music Festival!
