On February 14, 2025, we lost Donald R. Curtis, Sr. at the age of 88, following a brief illness while at Hearth Hospice. Donald was a resident of Chattanooga who touched many lives throughout his years. A celebration of his life will be held, honoring the wonderful moments and the legacy he leaves behind.
Lloyd Carroll – Memories of Family
Next up is the remarkable life of Lloyd Carroll, who passed away at the age of 90. Born in Soddy, Tennessee, to Jobe and Mary Carroll, Lloyd’s life was filled with love and family. He’s remembered fondly by his loved ones, including a beloved sister named Louise Smith and an ex-wife and friend, Willa Dean Carroll. His journey here has come to an end, but his family can always treasure the countless memories they shared together.
Dr. Edwin Thomas Hulse, Sr. – The Healer

Justin Blair – A True Family Man
Justin Blair’s untimely passing on February 17, 2025, has left a significant void in the lives of his family and friends. A husband, father, and son, Justin was known for his unwavering faith and kind heart. A proud graduate of McCallie School and later the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he excelled as a two-time state champion wrestler and an all-star athlete.
Justin was deeply invested in his children’s lives, participating in everything from building Legos to coaching his daughter’s basketball team. He had a knack for fine-tuning his work, co-owning Blair’s Estate Sales with his father Jim, where he skillfully dealt in antiques, coins, and collectibles, earning lasting relationships along the way.
His legacy continues through his loving wife Amanda, his three children—Lillie, Hollyn, and Lachlan—and his extended family. A Celebration of Life service for Justin will take place on February 22, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Northside. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Justin may wish to contribute to the Blair Children’s Education Fund.
Sylvester Harris – A Community Advocate
