A statement from the CPD acknowledged the critical role that these teams played, with the spokesperson attributing the victim’s survival to the “efficiency and speed” at which the emergency services responded to the incident.
The CPD’s Homicide Unit was dispatched to the scene after the shooting. They have begun their investigation and are actively seeking more information about the incident. However, they’ve stressed that it’s still early days and that the inquiry remains ongoing.
