Chattanooga – In an effort to accommodate community events and races, several street closures and restrictions will be in effect in the coming days. Residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Starting from May 24 and continuing through August 30, certain roads will be closed every Friday from 4 p.m. until midnight for the Nightfall event. This includes:
Traffic needing to exit businesses or street parking spaces after the closure begins will be permitted to leave via the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Lindsay Street.
On Saturday, August 3, from 7:50 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., the Missionary Ridge Road Race will result in the following restrictions:
Through traffic will be redirected following detour signs and instructions from CPD (Chattanooga Police Department).
Every Sunday until November 24, Reggie White Boulevard between W 19th Street and the Skate Park access road will be closed from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the Chattanooga Market.
For full details of these closures and other ongoing projects, you can view CDOT’s (Chattanooga Department of Transportation) map of events and road closures.
