Here’s your guide to an action-packed weekend!

Art Lovers, Rejoice!

Starting off, the Photographic Society of Chattanooga is showcasing its stunning autumn show at the Gallery at Blackwell. You can stop by after work and peruse beautiful works that are also available for purchase. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and this delightful exhibition will continue until December 6th. Find out more at chattanoogaphoto.org.

If you’re looking for something with a splash of color, head over to the North River Civic Center to experience “Spices of Fall.” This exhibition celebrates the rich hues and textures inspired by nature trails from around the globe. The civic center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays until December 30th. For more details, give them a call at 423-870-8924.

Chilimauga, happening in downtown Chickamauga on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is offering a chili cook-off alongside local vendors and live music. Admission is free, but if you want to taste the chili, you’ll need a tasting ticket, which runs between $10 to $15.

Also happening this Saturday is a chance to kick off your Christmas shopping! There are multiple Christmas markets to explore, including the Christmas market at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring handmade crafts and gifts. Not to mention, you’ve got the Tennessee Festival of Vendors at the Hixson Community Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. where you can also enjoy food, crafts, and more. Plus, remember to bring a new toy for the Toys For Tots program!

Tunes and Entertainment

For music lovers, the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera has a stirring concert lined up at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Memorial Auditorium. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, check out Kidz Bop Live on Saturday at 6 p.m. – it’s bound to be a blast for the younger crowd!
