Exciting New Series Culture on 4 Launches to Inspire Chattanooga’s Creative Community

Exciting New Series, Culture on 4, Launches in Chattanooga

Chattanooga is bursting with creativity and excitement thanks to a brand-new event series, Culture on 4, presented by the City of Chattanooga’s Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy (ACCE) in partnership with the Chattanooga Public Library. This initiative aims to bring the world of arts, culture, and entertainment directly to the heart of our community.

What Is Culture on 4?

Culture on 4 is set to feature a series of intimate conversations with talented artists, writers, and performers. These events are designed to inspire anyone aspiring to start or expand their career in the arts and entertainment fields.

Carmen Davis, ACCE’s Senior Director, couldn’t contain her enthusiasm about the new initiative. “We are excited to introduce Culture on 4 as a new platform for creative dialogue in Chattanooga,” she said. “By partnering with the Chattanooga Public Library, we are bringing nationally renowned talents like Brent Forrester directly to our community, inspiring artists, writers, and innovators.”

According to Davis, these conversations offer a golden opportunity for individuals passionate about the arts to engage with those who have significantly shaped the entertainment industry, providing insights and motivation.

The First Event: What to Expect

The inaugural event is set for November 2, and it’s shaping up to be a memorable one! Attendees will have the chance to hear captivating introductions from both Ms. Davis and Chattanooga’s Mayor, Tim Kelly. Following these introductions, there will be a conversation featuring renowned writer and producer Brent Forrester, moderated by Emmy-nominated television host and author Alison Lebovitz.

And if that isn’t enticing enough, the event will also include complimentary refreshments graciously provided by the Chattanooga Public Library Foundation. This is an excellent opportunity to mingle, network, and enjoy some delicious snacks while soaking in valuable insights from industry professionals.

A Place for Creativity at the 4th Floor

Will O’Hearn, the Executive Director of the Chattanooga Public Library, expressed excitement about hosting the series. “Public libraries are the place to learn and create, and there’s no better place to do that than our 4th Floor, where we offer more than 12,000 square feet of space and technology suitable for artists and entrepreneurs of any skill level.” He added, “When you get inspired by Culture on 4, we’ll be ready for ‘action!’”

More Events in the Area

In addition to Culture on 4, Chattanooga has plenty of artistic events lined up! Local artist Bob Fazio, a former arts educator, will be hosting a sculpting demonstration this Saturday at Area 61 Gallery from 1-4:30 p.m. Attendees can expect to learn about his unique techniques as he shares tips for working with clay.

For those who enjoy a bit of family fun, the nearby city of Red Bank will also be screening Walt Disney’s beloved film Hocus Pocus at their Community Movie Night on Friday. It’s a free event open to the public at the Joseph Glasscock Community Center. Bring the whole family for a magical evening!

Lastly, on November 21, the Photographic Society of Chattanooga will present Kevin Adams, a multifaceted photographer and teacher known for his expertise in night and waterfall photography. This event promises to be both educational and inspiring.

Final Thoughts

It’s clear that Chattanooga is a hub of artistic energy and creativity! With the launch of Culture on 4 and a fantastic lineup of events, there’s something for everyone to look forward to. Whether you’re an aspiring artist, a seasoned creative, or just someone who appreciates the arts, now is the perfect time to get involved and be inspired!
