Local residents in Chattanooga have a terrific opportunity to indulge in a sub while supporting an essential cause. The YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga is preparing to collaborate with five local Jersey Mike’s Subs outlets for the 14th annual March “Month of Giving” campaign. To raise funds for local charities, a purchase round-up option will be provided. This suggests that for every purchase in March at Jersey Mike’s, patrons will be able to round up their bill to the closest dollar, or contribute an additional $1, $3, or $5.
Founder and CEO of Jersey Mike’s Subs, Peter Cancro, is extending an open invitation to all residents of Chattanooga and their families. Encouraging community members to visit the sub shops throughout March, Cancro emphasized the importance of the Day of Giving, where every single cent of the day’s sales goes to supporting the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga. Regardless of whether the orders are placed in-store, online, or through their app, 100% of the proceeds will be donated.
On the Day of Giving, every participating Jersey Mike’s Subs owner and operator across the nation pledges their support by donating every single dollar of their resources to over 200 local charities. This includes hospitals, food banks, youth organizations, and numerous others. Jersey Mike’s aspires to outdo their previous national fundraising total of a whopping $21 million, contributing to even more local charities striving for a better community.
Since its inception in 2011, the Month of Giving program by Jersey Mike’s Subs has successfully raised over $88 million for local charities. The wholesome effort has immensely affected community growth at a grassroot level. This once again assures the public that every penny they contribute, whether by rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar or making an additional donation, will indeed go to a great local cause.
This March, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga along with Jersey Mike’s Subs is looking forward to seeing a generous response from locals. By merely treating themselves to a sub, they not only get to satisfy their taste-buds, but also support local charities that strive hard to make a difference in the community. The combined support of the community and local businesses can drive significant change, helping pave the way for a brighter future for all.
