Exciting Additions and Events in Chattanooga!

Chattanooga has been buzzing with activity lately, and it’s all good news for residents and visitors alike! With fantastic new venues, exciting events, and tasty treats on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to explore this vibrant city. Let’s take a closer look at what’s happening!

Hotel Chalet Opens with Unique Accommodations

Have you heard about the Hotel Chalet at 92 Choo Choo Ave.? This delightful establishment offers a unique staying experience, featuring accommodations in both train carriages and traditional hotel rooms and suites. The hotel has undergone extensive renovations since transforming from the previous Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. With each renovation phase completed, the owners have eagerly applied for and received permits to serve beer in various areas, and now that the final touches are done, they are embracing their new beer license!

The beer permit means guests can enjoy a drink in a variety of spots around the hotel, including the Appalachian Bistro Elsie’s Daughter, the parlor and patio, pool area, courtyard, and even the lobby, which transforms into a cozy lounge in the evenings. This exciting upgrade is all part of the redeveloped hotel’s new vision, which differs from the gardens and terminal building.

A New Dining Experience at The Playlist

Just down the road, a new culinary gem has opened its doors called The Playlist. Located at 100 Market St., right across from The Aquarium, this dinner theater offers a unique dining experience serving up tasty Italian food along with live entertainment. What makes it even special is its interactive touch – customers can use a QR code to adjust the music playlist that plays on the screen!

With a seating capacity of 62, this family-friendly restaurant operates Thursday to Saturday from 5-10 p.m. and serves a delightful brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. It’s a perfect spot for those looking to indulge in good food and enjoy a lively atmosphere!

Upcoming Festivities: The Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival

Mark your calendars! Starting this Friday, the Three Sisters Bluegrass Festival is set to take place at Ross’s Landing. Initially founded in 2007 by Fletcher Bright, who formed The Dismembered Tennesseans in high school, this event has now become a cherished community gift, sponsored by Fletcher Bright Realty and organized by his family.

On Friday, the fun kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 11 p.m. with a lineup of four different bands ready to entertain. Then, on Saturday, the music continues from noon to 10:30 p.m. with eight bands gracing the stage. Food vendors will be on-site, and with the Chattanooga Beer Board’s special approval for a temporary beer permit, you’ll be able to sip on some local brews while enjoying the fantastic tunes!

Chattanooga Motor Car Festival is Almost Here!

Following that, get ready for the fifth annual Chattanooga Motor Car Festival, scheduled for the weekend of October 11-13. This event is styled after European car shows and is perfect for classic car lovers. There will be plenty of activities throughout the weekend, including car club gatherings, a colorful parade, and street parties. Not to mention, a juried competition of vintage and classic cars will take place.

You can also look forward to an “Unforgettable Gala” fundraising event on Saturday evening, aimed at supporting Alzheimer’s research. Food and beverages, including beer, will be available throughout the venue, making it a fantastic way to enjoy fine automobiles and engage in a noble cause!

Chattanooga Whiskey Expands Reach

On another note, Chattanooga Whiskey has made waves by announcing its expansion into North Carolina! With this addition, they now distribute to 17 contiguous states, making their delicious offerings more accessible to whiskey lovers in the region.

In the spirit of new beginnings, Ryan Hargrove, the owner of Hoptown in Ooltewah, is also expanding his reach by opening a second location called Hoptown Downtown at 1617 Rossville Ave. This move is anticipated to bring even more exciting nightlife options to the area.

Good Things Happening with the Good Food Fair

The Chattanooga Food Center is hosting its very first Good Food Fair this fall! This innovative event is designed to educate families and children about the food cycle and spotlight local resources. It promises to be fun and informative, reminding everyone of the importance of healthy eating.

With all these thrilling events and new establishments in Chattanooga, it’s a great time to get out, explore, and enjoy everything this wonderful city has to offer. See you out there!
