In a federal court announcement, a 22-year-old man from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Christian Jacqi Williams has been sentenced to 75 months in federal prison for owning a device that turned his Glock Model 27 .40 caliber pistol into a machine gun.
Williams Arrest and Sentencing
Williams was apprehended in December 2021, after a heated chase ensued when he refused to stop for police. Instead, he raced off and ended in a collision.
Despite attempting to escape via the passenger side of the wrecked vehicle, Williams was quickly captured by officers. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of fentanyl pills and a Glock Model 27 .40 caliber pistol enhanced with a converted machine gun switch.
This switch allowed the pistol to fire in fully automatic mode, discharging multiple rounds with a single trigger pull. Owning such a conversion device is considered illegal under Federal law.
