This fantastic new space was officially unveiled on Thursday, and the excitement in the air was palpable. The journey to opening Riverview Park started last fall when Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors kicked off the project in collaboration with Play & Park Structures Inc.. The drive behind the creation of Riverview Park can be traced back to a courageous woman named Nicolle McCoy. After her daughter, Hope, sadly passed away in 2019 due to a rare condition called Xia-Gibbs Syndrome, Nicolle founded Hope Included. This organization has since aimed to ensure all community members, irrespective of their abilities, enjoy access to everything that makes Chattanooga a beloved place to live.
With the establishment of Riverview Park, Nicolle’s dream is slowly coming to fruition, providing children and families a safe and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. It truly is a heartwarming tribute to her daughter’s legacy, as well as a fabulous addition to the community’s resources.
