Chattanooga, are you ready for a month full of vibrant celebrations? Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off on September 15 and lasts until October 15, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by joining in on the fun happening all over the city!
If you want to start your celebrations early, head to the Chattanooga Red Wolves home game against the Greenville Triumph on September 14. This game promises to be a blast! Not only will you get to cheer for the local team, but there will also be a lively pre-game DJ on the concourse to get everyone in the spirit. Plus, you can enjoy some great food and drink specials as you prepare for a night full of action.
And let’s not forget the grand finale of summer — the final fireworks show of the season will take place after the game. Make sure to grab your friends and family for a night of soccer, music, and dazzling lights!
The Chattanooga Red Wolves game is just the tip of the iceberg! The city will be buzzing with many activities throughout the month. On September 16, don’t miss the kickoff event with delicious offerings from Guacamole Cocina Latina. It’s a perfect chance to savor some authentic food!
If you love to dance, mark your calendars for Latin Dance Night on September 26. Everyone is invited to let loose, dance, and have fun as we celebrate our multicultural communities.
On September 21, La Paz Chattanooga is hosting a fantastic festival and soccer tournament at Highland Park Commons from 12 to 4 p.m.. It’s a family-friendly event featuring local food, entertainment, and crafts. You can catch the soccer tournament starting at 3 p.m.. Plus, a special moment will take place as Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, the first and only Latino fraternity in Chattanooga, will receive a proclamation recognizing nearly 50 years of achievements.
As we head into October, the celebrations continue! On October 5, join the fun at Miller Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.. This day will be packed with food vendors, live performances from national and international artists, and an artisan market. There will even be a dedicated kids area to keep the little ones entertained, and a beer garden for the adults to relax and unwind. Guess what? This event is free to attend!
Also on October 5, Chattanooga State Community College (ChattState) will be holding a free festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. With festivities that include standout performances, fun activities, and tasty food trucks, this is another opportunity to gather with family and friends while experiencing the rich culture and unity within our community.
