The Lookout Wild Film Festival returns to Chattanooga for its 13th annual event from January 17 to 19, 2025, showcasing 73 films from 31 countries that celebrate outdoor adventures and conservation. This year, the festival has a new venue, The Signal, which enhances the experience for attendees. In addition to film screenings, there will be a vendor expo featuring outdoor brands and conservation organizations, making this festival a true celebration of the outdoor community.
Chattanooga, prepare yourself for an exciting and inspiring weekend as the Lookout Wild Film Festival (LWFF) is set to make its grand return for its 13th annual event! This year’s festival will roll into town from January 17 to 19, 2025, bringing with it a captivating array of films that celebrate the great outdoors and highlight the importance of conservation.
Moving from the historic Walker Theatre to The Signal this time around, the festival organizers are all about enhancing the experience for festival-goers. The new location not only provides a fresh setting but also opens up opportunities for attendees to enjoy local dining specials in the area. With the promise of convenience and comfort, the anticipation is building for this exciting festival!
This year, attendees can look forward to a dazzling selection of 73 films from no less than 31 countries. Each film offers a unique perspective on outdoor adventures, showcasing everything from breathtaking landscapes to thrilling sports and heartwarming stories of conservation and community. Screenings will be held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, while Saturday and Sunday will feature screenings at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
On top of the fantastic film lineup, a vendor expo will take place from noon to 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The expo is free to the public and will showcase around 20 outdoor brands, including local favorites like Teren, Sherpa Adventure Gear, and Deuter, all in partnership with Gearhead Outfitters. It’s a fantastic opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to engage with brands that are passionate about their products and the great outdoors!
Local organizations dedicated to outdoor preservation will also have a presence at the expo, featuring entities like WaterWays, Tennessee River Gorge Trust, and Sorba Chattanooga. This is more than just a film festival; it’s a celebration of the outdoor community in Chattanooga!
