Mother’s Day Weekend Jewelry & Fashion Pop-Up At Area 61 Gallery Saturday

Mark your calendars on May 14, 2024, for a one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day Weekend Jewelry & Fashion Pop-Up at Area 61 Gallery. The start-studded event is scheduled to commence from 1 pm.

Jewelry by Christina

Local jewelry designer, Christina Glidden will feature her newest spring jewelry collection at the event under her brand, ‘Jewelry by Christina’. The assemblage promises unique, statement pieces perfect to elevate spring and summer wardrobes. Christina is best remembered by the Area 61 Gallery followers for her bold, unique jewelry pieces from the gallery’s original location on Main Street.

After a brief hiatus from her thriving jewelry business to allocate time for her children’s education and mother’s healthcare, Christina gloriously returns to the design world. While exploring unique materials for her latest assortment, Christina discovered vintage German acrylic flower beads from the 1950s and 60s and acrylic cicada pendants, harmoniously aligning with this year’s cicada cycle. Thus, the floral and organic collection is a dedication to spring, renewal, and new beginnings.

Chery Jordan and Va-Va Vintage

Teaming up for this special event is Chery Jordan of ‘@ChicCheryJ’ and Va-Va Vintage. Jordan, a certified fashion show producer and renowned celebrity stylist, recently relocated from New York to Chattanooga. Jordan has significantly infused Chattanooga’s art and design scene with her creative influence since her relocation.

Alongside her, Kandyce Hudson of InKandycence Sewing Designs will also be unveiling their newest spring clothing collections. Chery Jordan’s eclectic assortment of power pieces, staples, and accessories have adorned every stylish event and trendy pop-up in the city. Continuing her creative streak, Jordan’s informal fashion show will incorporate Hudson’s uniquely designed spring pieces as well as her “Mash-up” collection of new and vintage.

Event Details

The grand event begins at 1 pm at Area 61 Gallery with Christina’s jewelry show. At 2 pm, Jordan’s models will take over the gallery space. It’s an open event without a seating plan, enabling guests to visit anytime. The clothing collections by Jordan and Hudson will be available for browsing and purchase until 4 pm.

Area 61 Gallery, located at 721 Broad Street, Suite 100, serves as a platform for thirty local artists to exhibit and sell their unique creations. The regular operating hours are from 12 noon to 6 pm, Thursday through Monday. Visit the website at ‘area61gallery.com’ for more information.
