New Drury Plaza Hotel Opens in Chattanooga, Promising Affordable Luxury and Warm Hospitality for Travelers

Welcome to Chattanooga: A New Hotel for Travelers!

This vibrant city is buzzing with excitement as the brand new Drury Plaza Hotel has officially opened its doors in the bustling Hamilton Place area. With its eight stories and 210 rooms, this hotel is set to attract a mix of leisure travelers just off Interstate 75 and business guests seeking convenience close to the airport.

A First for Drury in Chattanooga

General manager Cassandra Osborne proudly shared that this is the first Drury hotel in Chattanooga, a move that reflects the city’s growth and appeal. Having previously managed a Drury hotel in Gainesville, Florida, Osborne is keen to showcase what sets Drury apart from its competitors in the East Brainerd market. “We take care of people first,” she emphasized, painting a picture of warm hospitality that many visitors are sure to enjoy.

Affordable Luxury

With room rates ranging from $130 to $280 per night depending on the room type and market conditions, travelers will find that this hotel balances comfort and affordability. It’s always refreshing to find places that offer good value without compromising on quality!

Location, Location, Location!

One of the major draws of the Drury Plaza Hotel is its location. It sits right next to the Waterside development, which is home to popular retailers like Publix and outdoor enthusiast favorite REI, as well as various restaurants. It’s not just about the hotel itself, but also what’s around it! Guests can easily access many of Chattanooga’s highlights, including the Tennessee Aquarium, the Creative Discovery Museum, and the beautiful riverfront. All of these attractions make it an ideal spot for travelers wanting to explore what the city has to offer!

Future Plans in Downtown Chattanooga

Looking ahead, Drury Hotels has also acquired a site in downtown Chattanooga, where the former Sportsbarn fitness club used to be. Although plans for that location are still in the pipeline, it shows that Drury is committed to becoming a staple within the Chattanooga community.

Charles Drury III, the director of development for the hotel brand, previously shared that there’s “so much appeal to visitors,” which is evident by the company’s interest in multiple locations throughout the city. As for updates about the downtown hotel, Osborne mentioned that it might be a couple of years before any decision is made.

Hotel Amenities: More Than Just a Room

The Drury Plaza Hotel boasts more than just comfy beds. The first level is buzzing with activities, featuring a lobby, a restaurant and bar, a business center, and meeting rooms that can host events for up to 360 people. Whether it’s a family reunion, business meeting, or other gatherings, attendees will appreciate the customizable setups and catering options available.

Additionally, health-conscious guests will love the fitness center, and after a workout, they can unwind in the indoor swimming pool and spa. In essence, this hotel aims to cater to a wide array of needs while ensuring guests feel right at home.

Looking Ahead

This year alone, the Drury chain has opened three hotels, with four more scheduled to follow by the end of 2025. Founded in 1973, Drury Hotels has grown to encompass over 150 hotels in 27 states. It’s clear that they are dedicated to expanding their reach while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

A Warm Welcome Awaits

So, if you’re planning a trip to Chattanooga, whether for work, leisure, or just a weekend getaway, the new Drury Plaza Hotel might just be the perfect base for your adventures. With its friendly staff, convenient location, and comprehensive amenities, it’s sure to become a favorite among visitors in no time!
