As a proud graduate of Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia, she furthered her education at Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was there that she honed not only her academic skills but also her passion for education, which she later dedicated to her students and the community.
Married to William Lamar Moore on June 25, 1971, Gail and William spent an incredible 53 years together, creating a life full of cherished memories and laughter. Together, they raised their daughter, Bonnie, who is now mourning the loss of her beloved mother alongside her husband, Nick, and their two children, Billy and Ruthie Bingenheimer.

Gail was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church in nearby Somerville, where she led a Women’s Bible Study group. Known for her infectious laughter and genuine love for people, she had a knack for connecting with others. She also leaves behind fond memories of her late son Nathan and her brother Timothy Umbreit, who predeceased her.
