The Peterson Brothers to Dazzle Riverfront Nights This Saturday

Energizing Performances Laced with Musical Virtuosity

Chattanooga – The highly anticipated Riverfront Nights is all set to soar this Saturday with The Peterson Brothers leading the charts. Austin, Texas’ leading musical dynamite brothers, Glenn Jr. and Alex Peterson, are prepped to enthrall the audiences with their eclectic blend of modern influences rooted firmly in old-school blues, soul, and funk.

A Musical Journey Radiating Infectious Energy

For over a decade, the Peterson Brothers have held audiences spellbound with a unique medley of youthful energy and musical skills. They’ve drawn inspiration from the classic sounds of The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Brothers Johnson, and B.B. King, among others, and have crafted an unmatched musical experience that has garnered them a nationwide following. Audiences have been captivated by their spirit and musical talent, solidifying their indelible mark on the music scene.

The Peterson Brothers are recognized for their shared stages with legendary artists like Gary Clark Jr., Jesse Johnson (The Time), Willie Nelson, B.B. King, New Power Generation (Prince’s longtime band), Buddy Guy, and Los Lonely Boys, thus furthering their reputation as stalwarts of music that hearken back to timeless tonal roots.

Chattanooga’s Own – Swayyvo as the Opening Act

The opening act of the evening is just as exciting, with Chattanooga’s prodigal musician, Swayyvo, set to take the stage at 7 p.m. Known for his virtuosic saxophone skills and beats-driven arrangements that betray influences of jazz, neo-soul, and heavy 90s hip-hop, Swayyvo is at the forefront of Chattanooga’s hip-hop scene, giving it a direction for sustained growth.

Tributes that Elevate the Spirit of Humanity

The evening is set to start on a solemn note with a memorial tribute to Chattanooga’s Fallen Five, who lost their lives to an act of terrorism on July 16, 2015, at the Navy Operations Support Center. The National Anthem will be offered by Melissa Bayless in remembrance of the four Marines and a Navy sailor whose lives were cut short that fateful day.

Universe and Weather Pending

In the event of inclement weather which might include pop-up showers, updates will be announced on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as noted by Mickey McCamish with Friends of the Festival. Shows are slated to go on, rain or shine. However, they can be subject to last-minute cancellations or lightning delays in case of severe weather or thunderstorms.
