Hey there, Chattanooga! The holiday season is just around the corner, and what better way to kick it off than with a heartwarming community gathering? Gratefull, a cherished tradition that began right here in our city back in 2014, is setting the stage for a fantastic pre-Thanksgiving luncheon that promises to bring folks together in a unique and joyful way.
Mark your calendars for November 21st from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This exciting event will take place on the 200 block of East Martin Luther King Boulevard, where a long table will be set up, inviting everyone to sit down and share a delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal. What’s even better? There’s no fee to attend, and absolutely no expectations—just a warm invitation to anyone and everyone in the community.
Since its inception, Gratefull has expanded beyond Chattanooga to cities all over the southeast, including Nashville, Milan, Huntsville, and Dalton. The event has grown into what officials describe as Chattanooga’s most culturally diverse and inclusive event, breaking social barriers and encouraging folks from various backgrounds to connect over shared meals. The experience is all about gathering, getting to know each other, and building understanding within our community.
As if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, there’s also an opportunity to support a great cause! If you’re attending Gratefull and want to give back to the community, attendees are encouraged to bring supplies for the Maclellan Shelter for Families. On that day, a collection bin will be available for you to drop off your contributions. The items in need include:
Your generosity can make a meaningful difference for families in need right here in Chattanooga!
