Music enthusiasts are in for a treat as Chattanooga’s eagerly anticipated event, Riverfront Nights, has released its line up for the 2024 series. The much-loved music series, organized by Friends of the Festival, returns this year to Ross’s Landing in Downtown Chattanooga and runs every Saturday from 25th May to 31st August. The event will start each day at 4 p.m.
A unique feature that has earned accolades in previous editions of Riverfront Nights has been the grand tribute performances. This year the trend continues with tribute bands for Jimmy Buffett, The Eagles, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac, and Journey. Besides these tribute performances, attendees can also anticipate a range of other musical wonders from a wide spectrum of genres.
During the music series, a section of the Riverfront Parkway will be inaccessible to vehicles, allowing spectators to enjoy the music in a relaxed setting. Fans are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and folding camp chairs, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Guests will also enjoy a range of food and drink options, with rotating food offerings each week. There will be two bars situated conveniently close to the sidewalk on Riverfront Parkway and on the riverfront’s lower level.
Apart from the musical extravaganza, the series promises its patrons a rich mix of events to ensure a full day of fun and entertainment. In a thrilling development, the Dod’s Diving is set to bring an enthralling high dive competition at Ross’s Landing at the pier on 27th July. Competitors will be making the leap from an impressive 60 feet above the scenic Tennessee River. To take the excitement up a notch, the height is due to increase to a whopping 90 feet in the next edition as a prequalifying event for the Olympics.
Jet Ski enthusiasts have something to look forward to as the American Jet Sport Association will be hosting a Jet Ski racing event at Ross’s Landing on August 3. The event, originally held at Chester Frost Park, has witnessed significant growth since its inception in 2019, steadily evolving into a popular grass roots southeastern racing league.
And that’s not all. The Chattanooga Football Club is also set to join Riverfront Nights to host exciting giveaways once a month. In addition to the event program that keeps getting better, guests can engage in energetic games of cornhole and giant Jenga during the festival. Pet parents too can look forward to an on-site doggy pool for their furry friends.
The 2024 Riverfront Nights music series promises to be a landmark event in Chattanooga’s cultural calendar. With a wide array of music performances, food and drink options, and engaging activities, there’s plenty to look forward to in the upcoming festival season.
