Summerween Returns to Patten Square on Saturday, June 29

Chattanooga, River City Company and SoundCorps have once again teamed up to spice up summer with its third annual ‘Summerween’ celebration on Saturday, June 29, right in the heart of Patten Square. This free and open-to-all event sees a grand mix of Halloween and summer coming together to create an atmosphere of truly “SPOOKTACULAR” fun that caters to all ages.

A Night Filled with Excitement

From 6:00pm onward, Patten Square will be abuzz with live music, featuring local talents such as dynamic duo Haym and punk rock band Genki Genki Panic.

The square will also host a variety of street performers, including skilful fire dancers and entertainers, promising visitors non-stop live entertainment throughout the event. Local vendors offering an array of vintage and eclectic wares will also be a part of the lively mix.

Feast on Delicious Eats

What would a celebration be without food? Summerween caters to foodies too with onsite food trucks serving pizza and cool treats to keep the heat at bay. Beverages, including options for individuals aged 21 and older, will also be up for grabs.

Halloween Fun with a Summer Twist

Apart from the traditional Halloween activities of trick or treating, Summerween is also set to feature some novel attractions with a fun twist. One of these highlights includes a Watermelon Carving Contest. Participants are invited to arrive with their pre-carved watermelons for a chance to win a $50 Chattanooga Express Card. The judging for this contest will take place at the River City Company tent at 8:00pm.

Spooky Costume Contests

And of course, a Halloween-inspired event would not be complete without costume contests! Summerween will host both a Kid Costume Contest at 7:30pm as well as an Adult Costume Contest at 9:30pm. The Best Dressed will receive a $50 Chattanooga Express Card.

Event-goers are encouraged to use their creativity to combine summer and Halloween elements in their costumes. Both contests promise lots of fun, excitement, and many picturesque moments!

The event is set to conclude at Patten Square at 10pm, bringing to a close an unforgettable night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and entertainment.
