Chattanooga, TN – Annual tradition Summerween takes over Patten Square once again, bringing Halloween in summer!
Get ready, Chattanooga, inaugural Halloween-summer fusion event Summerween is all set to return to Patten Square on Saturday, June 29.
Summerween: Celebrating Halloween in Summer
Organized by River City Co. and SoundCorps, the free and open-to-public event merges the spooky charm of Halloween with the warm spirit of summer. From local bands belting out hits under the open sky, fire artists lighting up the square to trick-or-treats, Summerween recreates the magic of All Hallows’ Eve in summer.
Event Highlights
Starting at 6 p.m., the Patten Square will come alive with the sounds of local bands Haym and Genki Genki Panic followed by an eye-catching performance by street artists including fire dancers.
No celebration is complete without food, and Summerween is no exception either. Delicious pizza, refreshing drinks, and cool treats will be on hand from a variety of food trucks parked at the square – just perfect for a fun-filled summer evening.
And don’t forget to bring out your best Halloween costumes. Dress up for a chance to win attractive prizes with separate costume contests for kids and adults. It’s time to let your ingenuity run wild, as the best costumes will win bragging rights and $50 gift cards.

- 7 p.m. – Watermelon carving contest (Remember to bring your pre-carved watermelon).
- 7:45 p.m. – Kids costume contest
