The Development Resource Center (DRC), an establishment hosting both city and county offices and known as a one-stop-shop for builders and developers, has announced its unexpected closure this Thursday and Friday for necessary repairs. Located on South Market Street, the DRC plays a crucial role in the city’s ongoing development projects.
Following a thorough assessment, officials stated, “The Development Resource Center will require repairs making necessary a full closure for both employees and constituents for the remainder of this week“. They further assured that all respective divisions housed within the DRC have implemented protocols allowing staff to work remotely or from alternative office facilities, ensuring continuity of services.
During this period, inquiries during regular business hours will be responded to via the main telephone number of each respective division. Services have been arranged to ensure minimal disruption to the ongoing projects and the community. Those contacting the Land Development Office can continue to submit incoming permit requests at the temporary location and times set.
In lieu of the DRC, the Land Development Office has set up a temporary office at the Philip Grymes Outdoor Chattanooga Center, located at 200 River St. The office will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. This arrangement will continue until the DRC is fully operational again.
“Any updates regarding the reopening schedule will be communicated ASAP. We regret any inconvenience caused and anticipate resuming full, in-person services to the community on Monday.“, the officials said. Despite the unscheduled interruption, the DRC’s priority remains to resume its services as soon as possible for the benefit of the city, its residents, and the ongoing development projects.
